Our course encompasses 5 lectures (videos) covering the fundamentals of pharmaceutical calculations. This course will guide you to master prerequisite skills to carry out accurate and easy calculations.

If you face difficulties in understanding and solving math problems relating pharmacy calculus, this course will eliminate those troubles. No previous knowledge or experience is necessary.

The course is provided in English language supplemented with Arabic annotations and explanations to make the calculations easygoing for Arabian students.

What you will learn from the course:

The International System of Units and you can convert measures within the International System of Units.
Knowing the equivalent measures between the International System of Units and other systems of measure used in pharmacy practice.
The common systems used in pharmacy such as apothecaries and avoirdupois.
How to convert measures between the International System of Units and other systems of measure used in pharmacy.
The expressions percent weight-in-volume, percent volume-in -volume, and percent weight-in-weight.
Conversion of percent strength to ratio strength and ratio strength to percent strength.
Application percent strength and ratio strength to calculate the quantity of an ingredient present in a pharmaceutical preparation.
Performing calculations of doses involving household measures.
Performing calculations for altering product strength by dilution and concentration.
Applying alligation medial and alligation alternate in problem-solving.
Performing calculations to reduce or enlarge formulas for pharmaceutical preparations stated in metric quantities or in proportional parts.
